DOS commands often require a "path" statement that tells DOS where to find a file. For example, the command
del a:\personal\memo.txt
deletes the file MEMO.TXT found in the PERSONAL directory of the A: drive.
Buddy makes it easy to create the :\ part of the path statement. Go to the bottom of Buddy's Keyboard Translations screen and check the Change '\\' to ':' box. From then on, whenever you double- click a backslash, Buddy keys in :\ instead.
