INSTALLING BATTERIES

You need two AA batteries to power the poker game.  We recommend alkaline
batteries, such as Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-552.  Follow these steps to
install the batteries.

1.  Open the battery compartment by pressing down and sliding the cover in
    the direction of the arrow.

2.  Install the batteries as shown by the polarity symbols (+ and -)
    marked inside the battery compartment.

3.  Replace the battery compartment cover.

Notes:  When you install batteries, the display lights and a beep sounds.

        If the game does not work properly, you might need to reset it.

        To reset the game, remove and reinstall the batteries.  If the
        game still does not work properly, you might need to replace the
        batteries.

PLAYING WITH OR WITHOUT SOUND EFFECTS

To add sound effects, press SOUND until SYMBOL appears on the display.

To turn off sound effects, press SOUND until SYMBOL disappears from the
display.

AUTOMATIC POWER-OFF

To conserve battery power, the poker game automatically turns off after
about 2 minutes if you do not press a key.

To turn on the game and continue play, press DEAL/DRAW.  You can resume
your last game where you left off.

WINNING HANDS

You begin the game with 100 points.  To increase the Score, you must have
a winning hand.  The following chart lists the winning hands, based on a
5-point bet.

Royal Flush            A, K, Q, J, 10 of the same                 5000
                       suit.

Straight Flush         5 consecutive cards of the                  250
                       same suit.

4 of a Kind            4 cards of the same value.                  125

Full House             3 cards of the same value                    40
                       and any pair.

Flush                  5 cards of the same suit.                    25

Straight               5 consecutive cards of any                   20
                       suit.

3 of a Kind            3 cards of the same value.                   15

2 Pairs                One pair of cards with the                   10
                       same value and another set
                       of cards with the same value.

1 Pair Jacks           Pair of Aces, Kings, Queens,                  5
or Higher              or Jacks.

Notes:  The game plays with a standard 52-card deck.

        Aces can be high or low.
